Aries:
First sign of the Zodiac; the youngest Fire.
(Cardinal) Masculine. Known as infant of the
Zodiac and new beginnings. Symbolized by the
Ram ruled by Mars. It is impulse, energetic,
quick-tempered, a leadership ability-Assertive,
active, excitable and impulsive, optimistic, open to
change and new experience. If there is a new
plan or idea, or something strikes their fancy,
Arians can’t wait to plunge right into it. Aries is
a “me-first” sign, strongly project their
personalities and can be selfish. Planets in Aries
are Brave, Courageous, impetuous, and direct.
The “winter of despair” doesn’t last too long with
the Aries. The threshold for boredom is
extremely low. If success is not immediate, there
may be a tendency to drop it and search for
something more. Energy may be spent in too
many different ways, like the hero who mounted
his horse and road off in all directions. Arians
may bend, but do not break, unless broken by
themselves. In the garden of Aries there are no
shrinking violets. Aries is said to be lucky with
money but can’t hold onto it. There is no time for

to finish projects, as they are to start them and

Taurus:
Second sign of the zodiac; youngest Earth.
(Fixed) Feminine. Symbolized by the Bull,
ruled by Venus. Taurus is practical,
determined, artistic and loving, stubborn and
resistant to change, quiet, affectionate, and
stable. Opposite side of the “stubborn” coin is
Solid. Taurus types are like rocks, with a
stick-to-it-ness other planets envy. Taurians
are the ones counted upon when less
determined spirits fall by the wayside. Not the
pioneer who strikes out for new territory but
more like the determined settler who follows
and builds houses, towns, and cultivates the
soil. A great strength resides in the tenacity
and steady relentless drive. Taurians are the
original immovable object and irresistible
force. Although a temper is rarely shown, it is
known that it is there. There is a soft and
gentile side. Being ruled by Venus, Taurians
are sensual and sexy as well as luxury loving

music, the stability of Earth combined with

Taurian, there is a romantic dreamer struggling
to get out. There is a need for peace and quiet
and they don’t like their schedule to be
disrupted, and sometimes need a reminder

may put high regard on collecting possessions

Gemini: Third sign of the Zodiac; youngest Air (Mutable)Masculine. Symbolized by the Twins, ruled by
Mercury. Gemini is mentally facile, versatile and clever, gifted in the ability to communicate, lively, energetic,
intellectual, lives primarily in the mind rather than in the emotions and is adaptable to new situations. Gemini is
famous for its lightness of Being; it’s duality, a love of new experience, and as a communicator. The Mutable air
translates into changing ones mind. It displays two distinct sides to the personality: changeable, even fickle and
wonderfully curious. Mercury, which is communication, rules Gemini. If it involves writing, talking, gesturing,

Cancer: Forth sign of the Zodiac; youngest water (Cardinal) Feminine. Symbolized by the Crab, ruled by the
Moon. Cancer is imaginative, emotional, sensitive, loyal with a tendency to be moody, receptive, sympathetic,
kind, and posses an active, shrewd and intuitive mind. Cancer specializes in “just knowing things”. The
Cardinal water puts it a beginnings like emotions and families. It is the most privacy-oriented sign. Cancer
types are emotionally vulnerable, sensitive, and easily hurt. Cancer will say “I love you” by tending for your
need for food, warmth or a place to sleep. A problem is they become needy, dependant or unable to function
unless they feel someone or something is dependant upon them. The Moon ruling makes them moody. Cancer
may operate “from the gut” most of the time since it is charged by its emotions. It can be likened to the shifting
of the tides. Like the tides, Cancer is a sign of powerful forces moving below the surface and the surface,
however, is difficult to penetrate, as the Cancerian may tend to build up an elaborate array of defenses to hide

The Crab: possessing an impenetrable exterior covering the softness beneath. At the first sign of danger, it
withdraws into its shell and scuttles off back to the sea where it mill be safe.
